Creating Community Roots Empowering Families To Come Together
Who We Are
The OMI Cultural Participation Project is an innovative project that was created to make sure the San Franciscan community is being supported and celebrated. This project works to increase cultural equity by providing opportunities to artists, performers, and creatives of all ethnicities, ages, and backgrounds. They work to provide access to cultural representation, educational opportunities, and support for multilingual communication. The project has been extremely effective in engaging members of the community and providing positive impacts within the San Franciscan community. It has helped to create a culture where everyone's voice is heard and valued, while helping to create connections between those of different backgrounds and experiences.
Our Mission Statement:
Arts, Community & Culture
The OMI Cultural Participation Project strives to create an environment of mutual respect and understanding between the Omi community and the wider public. The project seeks to create a space for dialogue, learning, and collaboration in order to foster a deeper appreciation of the Omi culture, while also promoting cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. Through meaningful dialogue, the project seeks to create a better future for all.
The project serves the San Francisco District 11 community and helps protect the dignity of its inhabitants. Financial support from the community helps shape the project and its outcomes, strengthening the ties between the Omi community and the wider public. It is hoped that through this project, the Omi community can proudly share their culture, foster lasting connections with their neighbors, and protect the cultural heritage represented within San Francisco District 11.
What We Do
The OMI Cultural Participation Project is a program that works to foster cultural exchange and dialogue between people of different backgrounds. Through workshops, seminars, and other activities, the project seeks to create a safe and inclusive space for people to learn about each other's cultures, share experiences, and develop mutual understanding. Activities include language classes, cultural cooking classes, and traditional music and dance performances. The project also works to promote cultural understanding and appreciation through public events, including art exhibitions, film screenings, and lectures.
